About Cozy & Simple Home Life

Welcome, friend.

I'm so glad you're here! Cozy & Simple Home Life is where I share our family's journey through homeschooling, homemaking, and creating a home where curiosity is part of everyday life. Several years ago, we chose homeschooling because we wanted more than simply doing school at home. We wanted the freedom to slow down, follow our children's interests, read great books together, spend time outdoors, and build a family life centered around learning. Around here you'll find honest curriculum reviews, favorite books, nature-inspired learning, homemaking, gardening, simple family rhythms, and the little everyday moments that remind us learning doesn't only happen at a desk—it happens everywhere. My hope is that when you visit, you'll leave encouraged to embrace a slower, simpler approach to home and learning.

Learning Through Life

One of the greatest gifts homeschooling has given our family is the realization that education doesn’t stop when lessons are finished.

It happens while measuring ingredients in the kitchen.

It happens while planting seeds in the garden.

It happens during conversations around the dinner table.

It happens while reading one more chapter before bedtime.

Those ordinary moments often become the ones our children remember most.

My hope is that Cozy & Simple Home Life encourages you to slow down, enjoy the process, and discover that some of life’s best lessons happen right at home.

Why This Site Exists

As a homeschool mom of three, I’ve learned that no two families learn the same way. Every child is different, every season looks a little different, and every family finds its own rhythm over time.

I created Cozy & Simple Home Life to document what we’re learning along the way—not because we’ve figured homeschooling out, but because I believe there’s value in sharing the journey honestly.

Some of our best lessons happen with curriculum around the kitchen table.

Others happen while watching shrimp molt in our planted aquarium, tending the garden, caring for our chickens, baking together, or getting lost in a wonderful book.

Learning has become woven into our everyday life,

and that’s exactly what I hope to inspire here.

Hi, I'm Amanda.

I’m a wife, mama of three, homeschooler, and lifelong learner who believes home is one of the best places to grow.

You’ll usually find me with a cup of coffee nearby, planning our next homeschool adventure, reading alongside my children, tending our planted aquarium, working in the garden, or dreaming up our next family project.

I don’t believe homeschooling has to be perfect to be meaningful. I believe it’s built one ordinary day at a time—through books, conversations, curiosity, and the simple rhythms of family life.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope Cozy & Simple Home Life feels like a place where you can gather ideas, find encouragement, and leave inspired to create a home filled with learning, wonder, and lasting memories.
